INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lourdes competitive dance team had a historic first competition of the 2026 season, scoring an 87.33 second-place finish, the highest mark since the program's reinstatement in the 2022-2023 season. The score is also the 4th-highest in program history, including the 2014 and 2015 seasons before the eight-year hiatus.
The final results of the competition are below:
1st - Madonna 88.00
2nd - Lourdes 87.33
3rd - Marian 86.42
4th - Siena Heights 86.08
5th - Aquinas 85.29
6th - Saint Xavier 83.54
7th - Indiana Tech 76.08
The Gray Wolves were less than a point away from beating Madonna which would have given them their first competition win since 2014 and second in school history. Coach Gant-Wilson commented postmeet on their incredible start to their season.

"I am very pleased with how our first competition went," Coach Gant-Wilson said. "We have put in a lot of work preparing for this season and we will continue to keep working. I'm truly proud of this team and our start to the season."
