SYLVANIA, Ohio – Lourdes University men's golf closed its fall schedule on Monday with a fifth-place finish at the Lourdes Fall Finale, held at Sylvania Country Club.
The Gray Wolves posted a team score of 313 (+25) in the single-round event, finishing behind Ohio Northern (300), Cleary (305), and co-third-place teams Madonna and Siena Heights (306).
Junior
Grant Leis (Ottoville, Ohio/Ottoville) paced Lourdes with a 75 (+3) to tie for sixth place individually in the 62-player field. Freshman
Charlie Robertson (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) followed with a 78 (+6), tying for 17th, while seniors
Justin Altenbach (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee) and
Jonathan Huston (Genoa, Ohio/Genoa Area) each shot 80 (+8) to share 29th. Freshman Ted Robertson (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) rounded out the scoring lineup with an 82 (+10).
The Lourdes "B" team finished close behind in seventh place at 315 (+27), led by
Brock Fussell (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) and Clayton Stull (Fremont, Ohio/St. Joseph Central Catholic), who both carded rounds of 78 (+6).
Siena Heights led the field in birdies with 13, while Lourdes collected six birdies and 48 pars as a team.
