SYLVANIA, Ohio – Lourdes University senior Emma Pedroza (Napoleon, Ohio / Napoleon HS) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, after powering the Gray Wolves to a pair of conference wins over Madonna and Cornerstone.

Pedroza was electric throughout Lourdes' 2–0 week, averaging 27.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and shooting a combined 23-of-50 (.460) from the floor in victories that pushed the Gray Wolves to 5–0 overall and 2–0 in WHAC play.

In Wednesday's WHAC opener at Madonna, Pedroza scored 24 points, pulled down nine rebounds, and added four steals while helping Lourdes erase an early deficit and surge to a 68–45 win. She shot 9-of-21 from the field, including four three-pointers, as the Gray Wolves outscored the Crusaders 43–21 after halftime.

She followed that performance with a dominant outing on Saturday, dropping 30 points to go with eight rebounds and three steals in Lourdes' 80–64 victory over Cornerstone. Pedroza was relentless offensively, knocking down 14 field goals and helping the Gray Wolves pull away with a strong second-half push.

Her consistency on both ends was a major factor in Lourdes producing its best start in program history, as the senior guard has now scored 20 or more points in three straight games.

Lourdes returns to action on Tuesday, November 25, traveling to Aquinas College for a 5:30 p.m. WHAC matchup in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
