GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lourdes University competitive dance team earned a fourth-place finish at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships on Friday, hosted by Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The Gray Wolves posted a total score of 80.08, improving upon their preliminary round mark of 79.43 with a final round score of 80.30. Concordia University claimed the WHAC title with a combined score of 85.23, followed by host Aquinas College (84.02) and Siena Heights University (82.16). Madonna University (79.7), Marian University (79.1), and Indiana Tech University (61.43) rounded out the standings.
In addition to the team's performance, Lourdes had three student-athletes recognized for their achievements. Layla Kennedy was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team, while Kennedy, Kelli Altman, and Clara Steele all earned WHAC All-Academic Team honors.
