AUGUSTA, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Battle at the Brae, a two-day tournament hosted by Lawrence Tech University at the Stoatin Brae Course in Augusta, Michigan. The Gray Wolves posted a team total of 620, improving their score from 315 in the opening round to 305 on day two.

Lawrence Tech took home the team title with a total score of 582, shooting 293 in round one and 289 in round two. Madonna University and Cornerstone University tied for second with identical scores of 588. Madonna posted scores of 295 and 293, while Cornerstone shot 289 in the opening round and 299 in the second.

Leading the way for Lourdes was Alban Bruyas, who tied for 8th place overall with a two-day total of 148 (78-70). Charlie Robertson followed closely with a score of 152 (75-77), placing 21st. Jonathan Huston finished with a score of 165 (86-79), and Grant Leis recorded a 164 (82-82). Justin Altenbach carded a 159 (80-79).

Individually, Madonna's Aiden Newman claimed the top spot with a 139 (69-70), edging out Lawrence Tech's Liam McEvoy, who finished second with a 140 (70-70). A total of 47 players competed in the event, showcasing a strong field.

The Gray Wolves will next compete at the 2025 WHAC Championship, a 54-hole tournament taking place from April 27-29, 2025, at Stoatin Brae Course in Augusta, Michigan. The event is hosted by Lawrence Tech and Indiana Tech, with all teams qualifying. The winner will be crowned the WHAC Champion and earn an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championships.
