BRIGHTON, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University men's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Cleary Spring Tournament hosted by Cleary University, carding a total score of 316. The Gray Wolves were just four strokes behind the host team, Cleary, who won the tournament with a score of 312.
Lourdes shared second place with Concordia University, who also posted a 316. Siena Heights University placed fourth with a score of 318, followed by Indiana Tech University's B-Team in fifth with a 319. The University of Olivet and the University of Michigan-Dearborn rounded out the field with scores of 328 and 332, respectively.
The Gray Wolves were led by a pair of standout performances, with Clayton Stull and Justin Altenbach both firing rounds of 75 to tie for first place overall. Stull and Altenbach's strong play helped propel Lourdes to its second-place finish. Grant Leis also played well, carding a 79 to finish tied for 12th place. Jonathan Huston added an 80 to finish tied for 16th, while Alban Bruyas and Charlie Robertson rounded out the Lourdes golfers with scores of 82 and 83, respectively.
