KANSAS CITY, Mo. (LourdesAthletics.com) – Lourdes University's Joel Brothers has been named to the 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer All-America Third Team, as announced following the Ninth-Annual Nfinity NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship.
This marks Brothers' second consecutive All-America honor, having earned First-Team recognition in the previous season. The talented cheerleader's remarkable performance at this year's national championship earned him a spot on the Third Team. All-American honors are determined by the national championship judges, with the top 18 athletes (including ties) from the competition selected for the First, Second, and Third Teams. Athletes are evaluated on their execution of several elements, including toe tuck, triple jump combination, jump combination, round off back handspring full twisting layout, and stunts, all graded on form and technique.
Brothers' continued excellence on the national stage showcases his growth and leadership within the Lourdes Cheerleading program, helping elevate the team's profile among the best in the nation.
The competition saw strong performances from teams like St. Ambrose (Iowa), who secured their third-straight national title and led the First Team with seven All-Americans, as well as standout athletes from Xavier (La.) and Concordia (Mich.).
