Ryan Adamovich Named Lourdes Inaugural Women’s Flag Football Head Coach

Adamovich to lead Lourdes’ newest athletic program set to debut in spring 2027.

SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) – Lourdes University is excited to announce the hiring of Ryan Adamovich as the first head coach in the history of its women's flag football program, which will become the 20th varsity sport for the Gray Wolves. Adamovich brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level and a proven ability to build successful programs from the ground up.

"We are very pleased that Ryan has agreed to join the Lourdes Community and to lead the newest program in our Athletics Department," said Lourdes University President Dr. William Bisset. "His passion and excitement in bringing women's flag football to Lourdes in the coming years was very evident during the search process making him the ideal candidate to serve as our inaugural Head Women's Flag Football Coach".

Adamovich comes to Lourdes from Bryant & Stratton College (Milwaukee), where he served as Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the women's flag football program. In that role, he directed all aspects of the offense, led recruiting efforts nationwide, and helped establish the structure and standards of a growing program. His coaching career also includes more than a decade on the staff at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where he held roles coaching wide receivers, tight ends, running backs, inside linebackers, and quarterbacks. He helped develop multiple All-Conference athletes and played a key role in weekly game planning, special teams coordination, and opponent scouting.

Adamovich has also held coaching roles at St. Norbert College, Lawrence University, and the University of Dubuque, where he earned his Master of Arts in Communication in 2013.

He is a 2009 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a coaching minor and was a four-year member of the football program.

"My family and I are truly honored to join the Lourdes University community," Adamovich said. "Having the opportunity to lead and establish the Women's Flag Football program is a once-in-a-lifetime privilege. I am eager to begin the recruiting process and look forward to building a team of talented student-athletes who embody the values and spirit of the University and the Pack."

Coach Adamovich's official start date is July 7th, 2025 and will use the 2025–26 academic year to recruit and prepare the Gray Wolves for their inaugural season, scheduled to begin in spring 2027.
