Rochester, MI.- The Lourdes University Gray Wolves baseball team was on the road Tuesday afternoon in Rochester, MI. taking on the Warriors of Rochester College in doubleheader action. The Gray Wolves finished the day with a split winning the first game 7-4 and dropping the second game 5-2.
Lourdes Jeremy Reynolds picked up the victory in game one throwing 5.2innings. Jeremy had a no hitter going through 5 innings of work until finally giving up a hit in the 6
th inning. Jeremy gave up four earned runs on just two hits, striking out one and walking seven in the game.
Lourdes performed at the plate in the game with seven runs on 12 hits including a two hit effort with three rbi for Andy Kefalos.
The Gray Wolves improved to 7-29 overall with the victory and were poised to take on the Warriors in game two.
Lourdes was unable to keep the hits going like they had in the first game though as they managed just two runs on five hits and came up short losing 5-2.
Kyle Vandecaveye suffered the loss giving up all five runs on six hits for the Warriors. Brandon D'Agnese went 1 for 2 from the plate with an rbi in the game.
Lourdes dropped to 7-30 overall with the loss and will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday night at Mercy Field in the first ever night game for the Gray Wolves starting at 7pm.
