Gray Wolves Drop 2 At Racers

Lourdes comes up empty against the Racers of UNOH
The Gray Wolves got beat up a bit on Wednesday afternoon in doubleheader baseball action at University of Northwestern Ohio. Lourdes dropped both games 16-6 and 10-0.
 
In game one the Gray Wolves manages to stay close early on as the two teams were tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the third before the Racers managed to take a lead 3-1 and never look back. The flood gates really opened up on the Gray Wolves in the bottom of the 6th inning when they gave up 8 runs.
 
Andy Kefalos would swing the most consistent bat going 3 for 3 in the game with an rbi and a walk in the game.
 
Jeremy Reynolds suffered the loss on the mound going 3 innings giving up 4 runs 3 of which were earned on 2 hits. Reynolds struck out 1 batter while walking 3. Kyle Vandecaveye and Michael Henning combined to give up 11 earned runs on 9 hits in relief.
 
Game two would not seem to be better for Lourdes as they lost 10-0. Lourdes managed just 3 hits and 1 walk in the game while stranding all 4 runners on the base paths in the game.
 
Lourdes Phillip Dysard, Garrett Jex and Frank Schaeffer were the lone hitters for the Gray Wolves.
 
Daniel Broadbeck suffered the loss going 2.2 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 5 hits while walking 2 and 0 strikeouts. Adam Little and Ryan Veres pitched in relief giving up 7 earned runs on 6 hits.
 
Lourdes baseball returns to action this weekend at Aquinas College in back to back days of doubleheader action starting Saturday at 1pm. Lourdes overall record is 8-36 and 1-19 in WHAC play.
