Sylvania, OH – It was a sunny, Saturday afternoon when Lourdes University hosted Siena Heights University in the second day of double header action. Game one of the day was a hard fought 17 inning loss by the Gray Wolves, 8-7.
 
The Siena Heights Saints jumped ahead early on in the game. Heading into the 8^th inning, Lourdes Gray Wolves were trailing 6-1. While the Gray Wolves may have started off slow, they fought back with 4 runs in the 8^th and 2 in the 9^th to tie the game and send it to extra innings. It was a pitching battle for the next 7 innings as the game continued 7-7 through the top of the 17^th. Then, in the bottom of the 17^th, Siena Heights bats a run in to win the game.
 
Lourdes University finished with 7 runs on 14 hits while committing 3 errors. Siena Heights finished the game with 8 runs on 20 hits with 3 errors. With the win, Siena Heights University Saints go to 6-8 in the WHAC and 20-16 overall. The Lourdes University Gray Wolves fall to 1-11 in the WHAC and 6-27 overall.
 
Notes: Leading hitter for Lourdes University was Austin Gunn going 4-7. Leading hitters for Siena Heights University were Josh White and Brett Howard, both going 4-8 with White having 3 rbi.
 
Game 2 – The Siena Heights Saints jumped out ahead early again in game two of the double header and would never look back taking the game 9-1. The Saints scored three runs in the first inning cruising to their 21^st victory of the season.
 
Lourdes would score their only run in the bottom of the third when Nick Mazgay scored on a Patrick Magat rbi.
 
Lourdes falls to 6-28 overall and 1-12 in the WHAC.
 
Next up for the Gray Wolves is a road trip to Rochester College on Tuesday before returning back to Mercy Field on Wednesday night to Ohio State University Lima at 7pm.
