Lourdes Lacrosse Continues Roll, Defeats Aquinas for Seventh Straight Win

Lourdes University's men's lacrosse team posted its seventh straight win to open the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Aquinas 18-10 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to close out a three-game road trip.
 
The Gray Wolves jumped on top quickly, scoring seven times in the opening quarter to take a 7-1 lead, and led 11-5 at halftime.  The Saints closed the gap to within two, 11-9, after three quarters, but Lourdes scored seven straight goals to open the fourth to secure the victory.
 
Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) and Danny Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North H.S.) each scored five times while Andrew DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) added three more goals.  Yoshino had two assists as well for a seven-point day while Bichsel and DiMartini each added a helper.
 
Avery Levonuk (Philadelphia, Pa./Harriton H.S.) scored twice while Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.), Tony DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.), and Lucas Schwartz (Perrysburg, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) each added markers.  For Schwartz, it was his first goal of the season.
 
Connor Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's H.S.) made 10 saves in goal for the Gray Wolves to earn the win.
 
Lourdes outshot Aquinas (5-3) 44-38 for the contest, including 30-20 on goal.
 
Lourdes (7-0) will return home on Wednesday evening to host Lawrence Tech at Ottawa Hills High School.  The opening faceoff will take place at 7 p.m.
