Upcoming in Gray Wolves Basketball: After picking up its first victory of the season on Saturday, Lourdes returns to the hardwood on Tuesday night for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference clash at Concordia (Mich.). Following Thanksgiving, the Gray Wolves will step out of league play on Saturday, traveling to Olivet.
Head Coach Summer Quesenberry: In her first season on the Lourdes bench
Summer Quesenberry has a 1-6 (.143) record. Overall as a women's collegiate head coach, Quesenberry has a 54-74 (.422) record in her fifth season. She is the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Concordia (Mich.) holds a 9-1 series advantage against Lourdes dating back to Oct. 27, 2011. The Cardinals have won three straight meetings in the series, including a pair of wins last year. Concordia was a 69-56 victory in Ann Arbor, Mich. and posted a 60-47 triumph at Tam-o-Shanter during the 2015-2016 campaign. The Cardinals are 5-0 all-time against the Gray Wolves in Ann Arbor. Lourdes and Olivet will be meeting on the hardwood for the first time ever on Saturday.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell behind by 15 points after one quarter on Wednesday evening, and dropped an 82-50 decision on the road at Aquinas.Â

Jesse Fidler, and
Kalena Harris all led the Gray Wolves with eight points each in the loss, as Lourdes shot just 28.1% from the floor on the night. On Saturday, the Gray Wolves picked up their first win of the season, forcing 32 Michigan-Dearborn turnovers on the way to an 81-71 victory at home.Â
Molea Thompson led four Gray Wolves in double figures with 17 points while Harris added 14 points off of the bench.
Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals remained undefeated on the season Saturday afternoon with an 86-56 victory over Cornerstone. Concordia is outscoring opponents by 26.2 points per game this year, a mark that ranks eighth best in NAIA Division II. Mia Long leads the Cardinals averaging 13.0 points per game while Kari Borowiak adds 11.6 points per night. Karlee Morris and Zhana Randolph are scoring 10.4 and 10.0 points per game respectively, as Concordia has seven players averaging at least eight points per contest. As a team the Cardinals rank fifth in the country shooting 43.2% from three-point range, with Borowiak's 66.7% clip ranking third nationally.
Scouting Olivet: The Comets are still seeking their first win of the year after dropping both games at the Wilmington Tournament last weekend. Olivet fell 77-34 to Transylvania in Saturday's consolation game. The contest against Lourdes will be the Comets' home opener. Ayren Parrish leads Olivet averaging 9.0 points per game while T'Keyia Collins adds 8.0 points per night. Olivet is a NCAA Division III team.
Losing Skid Snapped: With the win over Michigan-Dearborn, the Gray Wolves not only picked up their first win of the 2016-2017 campaign, but also snapped a seven-game losing streak dating back to Feb. 20, 2016. The skid was the team's longest since Lourdes dropped seven straight games Dec. 3, 2014-Jan. 3, 2015.
Forcing Turnovers: The Gray Wolves forced Michigan-Dearborn into 32 turnovers on Saturday afternoon, 21 of which came via steals. Lourdes turned the miscues into 33 points.
Lots of Steals: Molea Thompson and
Kalena Harris both recorded six steals against the Wolverines on Saturday. Thompson, a junior, entered the game with just three total swipes on the year, and set a new career high, bettering her previous mark of five set against Washington & Jefferson on Dec. 27, 2014. Harris, a freshman, had not recorded more than two steals in any game this year prior to Saturday.

Fidler Surpasses 700 Points: Jesse Fidler scored 10 points on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn to surpass the 700-point plateau for her career. The junior enters the week with 705 career points, most among any active Gray Wolf.
From the Stripe: Lourdes has struggled from the free throw line this season, shooting just 65.1%, but the Gray Wolves were perfect last Wednesday at Aquinas. Lourdes made all 12 of its attempts from the charity stripe against the Saints.Â
Molea Thompson then had a solid game on Saturday against Michigan-Dearborn, connecting on 11-of-14 free throws.
Getting to the Glass: Daja Whiteside is 16th in NAIA Division II grabbing 3.9 offensive rebounds per game. In fact, 27 of Whiteside's 43 total caroms have come on the offensive end of the floor. All five of her boards against Michigan-Dearborn came on the offensive end of the floor.
Captains Named: Lourdes has a trio of captains heading into the 2016-2017 season.Â
