Upcoming in Gray Wolves Baseball: Lourdes begins a 10-game road trip this week with four doubleheaders.  The Gray Wolves head to Grace for a non-conference twinbill on Tuesday before returning to WHAC play on Wednesday at Northwestern Ohio.  The week concludes with a four-game weekend series at Aquinas.

Head Coach Jeremy Snow: In his first season on the Lourdes bench, Jeremy Snow has a 4-16 (.200) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves, as well as in his career as a collegiate head coach.  He is the second head coach in Lourdes program's history, and currently serving in an interim role.

Probable Starters: Adam Hoyos (RHP, 0-0, 4.41) is scheduled to start game one against Grace with game two yet to be determined.  On Wednesday, A.J. Schraffenberger (LHP, 1-4, 2.83) and Paul Avila (LHP, 1-3, 3.04) will toe the rubber at Northwestern Ohio.  Brandon Holt (RHP, 2-2, 3.18) and Bill Laranga (0-4, 5.92) will be handed the ball on Saturday at Aquinas while Sunday's starters have yet to be determined.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Grace, sweeping a doubleheader against the Lancers 7-6 and 2-0 on April 21, 2015 at Mercy Field.  Northwestern Ohio holds a 10-2 series advantage dating back to March 28, 2012.  The Racers and Gray Wolves split last year's meetings, with UNOH winning the opener 2-0 and Lourdes winning game two 6-3 in Lima, Ohio.  Northwestern Ohio holds a 7-1 series edge in Lima.  Aquinas holds a 10-4 all-time advantage over Lourdes after the two schools split four game last year at Mercy Field.  The Saints won the only four previous games played at Aquinas back in 2012, as the 2014 series was moved to a neutral site.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes dropped a pair of doubleheaders to 22nd-ranked Davenport last weekend, falling 3-2 and 9-1 on Friday and 6-0 and 5-1 on Saturday.  The Gray Wolf bats were stymied by Panther pitching, tallying just 15 hits over the four games.  Glen Crabtree had four hits on the weekend, including two doubles, while Garrett Jex tallied three hits on the weekend.  A.J. Schraffenberger allowed just two earned runs over seven innings in his start while Brandon Holt tossed a complete game.

Scouting Grace: The Lancers split a pair of doubleheaders last weekend against Goshen heading into Tuesday's twinbill with Lourdes.  Austin Green leads the team batting .313 while Frank Rocchio has three home runs and 22 runs batted in.  As a team, Grace is batting .258 while the pitching staff sports a 3.49 earned run average.

Scouting Northwestern Ohio: The Racers enter the week having swept a doubleheader at Siena Heights on Saturday and face the Saints again on Monday before hosting Lourdes.  Kyle Fisher leads the team batting .423 with 16 runs batted in.  Northwestern Ohio is hitting .337 as a squad while the pitching staff has posted a 3.52 ERA.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having dropped six straight games following a series sweep at home against Concordia (Mich.).  Aquinas travels to Cleary on Tuesday before hosting Lourdes.  Casey Wila and Michael Oshinski are both batting .340 on the season while Tyler Davis has a team-high 11 RBI.  Aquinas is batting .234 as a team while the pitching staff sports a 3.61 ERA.

A Doubles Machine: Garrett Jex has tallied 10 doubles in his 54 at bats this season, part of his team-leading .407 batting average.  His 0.56 doubles per game ranks third among all NAIA hitters.  Jex is slugging .593 on the year and ranks second on the squad with 10 runs batted in as well.

Crabtree Having Solid Rookie Season: Glen Crabtree is second on the team batting .283 for the Gray Wolves after tallying four more hits last weekend against Davenport.  Crabtree has excelled leading off innings, batting .438 in that role, and has tallied five multi-hit efforts already this year.

Schraffenberger with Solid Starts: A.J. Schraffenberger has allowed just two earned runs over his past three starts, encompassing 20.0 innings on the hill.  Schraffenberger has allowed just 13 hits during the span while striking out 15 hitters.  He had a 7.27 ERA after his start on March 4, but has since lowered it to 2.83 after the three quality outings.

Consistency in the Lineup: Kyle Sherman has led off all 20 games for the Gray Wolves this season.  He is the only Gray Wolf to bat in the same position in the order in every game this year.  Sherman, Dallas Riggs, and George Pastor are the only three Lourdes hitters to start every game in 2016.  Defensively, Riggs has started all 20 games in centerfield, the only player to appear at the same position defensively all season.

This and That: Daniel Kruzel made his collegiate debut, doubling in a pinch-hit role against Davenport on Friday ... Lourdes has not scored a run in the sixth inning this season ... every Gray Wolf game this season has taken 2:36 or less in playing time.
