Game #15: Saturday, April 16, 2 p.m. EDT
vs. Lawrence Tech (4-4, 1-2 WHAC)
Wildcat Stadium - Sylvania, Ohio

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: The 2016 regular season comes to a close on Saturday afternoon as Lourdes entertains Lawrence Tech on Senior Day at Wildcat Stadium.  Following the contest, the Gray Wolves will begin CCLA postseason play next weekend.

Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his third season on the Lourdes bench, Patrick Yannarelli has a 26-12 (.684) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 3-0 series advantage over Lawrence Tech dating back to the initial meeting at Ottawa Hills High School on April 2, 2014, an 18-8 Gray Wolf victory.  Lourdes downed the Blue Devils 16-9 in Grand Rapids, Mich. three weeks later in 2014 as well, before notching a 13-12 triumph over Lawrence Tech on March 25, 2015 in Beverly Hills, Mich.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes raced out to a 10-2 lead on Wednesday before defeating Michigan-Dearborn 20-8 at Wildcat Stadium.  Danny Bichsel scored six times while Jared Yoshino tallied 12 points with four goals and eight assists.  Conner Mishler made 16 saves in goal. On Saturday, the Gray Wolves scored nine of the first 10 goals and went on to down Aquinas 21-10 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Dalton Vowles scored seven times while Bichsel added six goals and three assists.  Mishler made six stops in the cage.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday evening, defeating Michigan-Dearborn 21-11.  Lawrence Tech was scheduled to face Aquinas on Thursday, but that game was postponed.  Tristan Burkhard leads the Blue Devils with 24 goals and has tallied 30 total points this season while Tim Popp has added 24 points, including a team-high 12 assists.  In goal, Adam Gohl has played a majority of the minutes for Lawrence Tech, sporting an 11.01 goals against average and a .472 save percentage.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor its two seniors, Danny Bichsel and Dylan Gill, prior to Saturday's contest.  Bichsel and Gill are both three-year players for the Gray Wolves who joined the program prior to the inaugural 2014 season.

Yoshino Earns a Pair of Honors: Jared Yoshino has been named both the NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after his role in the Gray Wolves' two victories last week.  The junior tallied 20 total points on seven goals and 13 assists in wins over Michigan-Dearborn and Aquinas.  He also collected six ground balls.  His eight assists and 12 total points against Michigan-Dearborn were one shy of the school's single game record for each category.

Scoring Leader: Danny Bichsel heads into his final regular season contest of his career as Lourdes' all-time leading goal scorer.  The senior has found the back of the cage 136 times.  His 52 goals this season are two ahead of Dalton Vowles in the race for the scoring title.  Vowles leads the Gray Wolves with 79 total points, three more than Bichsel.

Yoshino Reaches Two Milestones: Jared Yoshino reached a pair of milestones last week.  The junior scored his 100th career goal against Aquinas, becoming just the second player in program history to reach the mark.  In addition, he surpassed 200 career points against Michigan-Dearborn, and enters the weekend with a school-record 216 career points.

In the Rankings: Lourdes is a member of both the NAIA and MCLA in men's lacrosse.  The Gray Wolves are ranked fifth nationally in NAIA, where they are members of the WHAC.  In addition, they rank 11th in MCLA Division II as members of the CCLA.

This and That: Nic Mueller and Marty Gospodarski have combined to win 61% of the faceoffs that they have taken ... Conner Mishler sports an 8.58 goals against average and a .587 save percentage, playing every minute in goal this year ... Jay Fisher and Casey Hilfinger have collected 66 and 54 groundballs respectively ... Lourdes has outscored its opponents in every quarter this season.
