Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: The quest for a national championship begins on Thursday evening as the fourth-seeded Gray Wolves battle fifth-seeded Missouri Baptist in the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Invitational.
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his third season on the Lourdes bench,
Patrick Yannarelli has a 29-13 (.690) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes and Missouri Baptist are meeting on the lacrosse field for the first time ever.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes jumped out to a 7-0 lead at halftime on Friday on the way to defeating Siena Heights 19-8 in the CCLA semifinals.Â
Jared Yoshino scored five times and added eight assists while
Dalton Vowles and
Danny Bichsel each had five goals as well. On Saturday in the CCLA championship, Dayton defeated Lourdes 15-10. Vowles tallied four goals and Bichsel had three for the Gray Wolves in the setback.
Scouting Missouri Baptist: The Spartans had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 10-9 loss to Lindenwood-Belleville in the semifinals of the GRLC tournament. Aaron McClintock leads the Spartans with 37 points, including a team-high 12 assists while also scoring 25 goals. Austin Dahl has a team-high 26 goals for Missouri Baptist while Dan Mollett has added 25 goals. In goal, Robert Ates has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 6.54 goals against average and a .626 save percentage.
Up Next: The winner of the Lourdes-Missouri Baptist quarterfinal will advance to Friday's semifinals against the winner of the game between Davenport and Lindenwood-Belleville.
In the Rankings: Lourdes is a member of both the NAIA and MCLA in men's lacrosse. The Gray Wolves are ranked fourth nationally in NAIA, where they are members of the WHAC. In addition, they rank 11th in MCLA Division II as members of the CCLA.
Fisher and Yannarelli Lead WHAC Awards: Jay Fisher was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year while
Patrick Yannarelli was chosen as the WHAC Coach of the Year. Fisher joined
Dalton Vowles and
Mason Bryan on the All-WHAC First Team while
Jared Yoshino,
Dylan Gill,
Casey Hilfinger,
Matt Ofner,
John McInturf, and
Conner Mishler were all Honorable Mention All-WHAC selections.
Bichsel Earns CCLA Honor: Danny Bichsel was named the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association Most Outstanding Offensive Player at the postseason tournament. The senior scored 12 goals in three postseason games while adding eight assists as the Gray Wolves finished runner-up in the tournament.
The Scoring Race: The team's scoring race is coming down to the wire, with
Dalton Vowles holding a two-goal lead over
Danny Bichsel 71-69 entering the NAIA Invitational. However,
Jared Yoshino holds the points lead with 110 after handing out 56 assists to go with his 54 goals, and he holds a two-point advantage over Vowles and a five-point edge over Bichsel.
A Solid Backstop: Conner Mishler has played all 1023:33 in goal for the Gray Wolves this season. He sports a 9.67 goals against average and a .559 save percentage over the 17 contests.
