Lourdes (2-0, 0-0 WHAC)
Match #3: Wednesday, September 7, 4 p.m. EDT
vs. Great Lakes Christian (0-1, Independent)
Wildcat Stadium - Sylvania, Ohio

Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes returns home for the final time in the non-conference portion of the schedule on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves entertain Great Lakes Christian at Wildcat Stadium, looking to improve to 3-0 on the year.

Head Coach Barry Spitzer: In his second season on the Lourdes bench, Barry Spitzer has an 9-7-2 (.556) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as a men's soccer collegiate head coach at four year programs.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Great Lakes Christian are meeting on the pitch for the first time ever in men's soccer on Thursday.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes scored the first five goals of the match on Thursday evening on the way to a 9-1 victory on the road at Andrews.  Judah Goodridge and Jake Kirchoff-Sleet each scored twice while Isamnia Cohen added a goal and an assist on the day.  Jose Cedillo made one save playing the first 45 minutes of scoreless soccer.

Scouting Great Lakes Christian: The Lakes are still looking for their first goal during the 2016 season.  Great Lakes Christian fell on the road 21-0 to Grace Bible in the team's season opener.

Quite the Start: Lourdes has won back-to-back matches for just the third time in program history to start the season 2-0, the best start ever by a Gray Wolf team.  Lourdes never won three straight contests during its inaugural 2015 season, but did have a three-match unbeaten streak (2-0-1) from Oct. 14-21.

Goodridge Tallies Back-to-Back Two Goal Matches: Judah Goodridge became the Gray Wolf in program history to score two goals in a match twice in the same season when he tallied the first two goals, just 3:36 apart, in the first half of the match at Andrews.  Goodridge also tallied two of the Gray Wolves' three goals in the season opener against Grace Bible.

Double Trouble: Not only did Judah Goodridge score twice against Andrews, but Jake Kirchoff-Sleet has his second career two-game match as well.  The Gray Wolf senior scored twice as part of a span where Lourdes scored three times within five minutes late in the second half.

Also a Helper: Jake Kirchoff-Sleet also handed out an assist against the Cardinals last Thursday and already has three this season, eighth most in the NAIA.  Kirchoff-Sleet has seven career assists, holding the school record for helpers after leading the team with four one year ago.

Quick Strikes: Lourdes scored 3:36 apart with two goals from Judah Goodridge in the first half against Andrews.  In the second half, Jake Kirchoff-Sleet and Kevin Omore scored 2:02 apart and then Kirchoff-Sleet scored again 2:50 after Omore's goal.  Akilla Arno added a tally 3:03 after Kirchoff-Sleet's second tally, giving Lourdes four goals in 7:55.

Perfect So Far: Jose Cedillo has started both matches for Lourdes this season and has yet to concede a goal in 90 minutes.  He has been forced to make just one save in each match due to solid work defensively in front of him.

First Goals: Lourdes had five players score their first goals as a Gray Wolf last Thursday.  Josh Patta, Isamnia Cohen, Osmar Sequeira, Kevin Omore, and Akilla Arno all scored their first collegiate goals in the win over Andrews.  For Patta and Omore, the tallies also marked the first of their collegiate careers.

Team Captain: Jake Kirchoff-Sleet is the Gray Wolves' lone captain for the 2016 season.  The Lourdes senior is serving in the role for the second consecutive season.

This and That: Judah Goodridge's match-winning goal against Andrews was the first of his career ... Akilla Arno's goal came on a penalty kick, and the successful try improved Lourdes to 3-for-3 all-time in such situations ... Haggi Amirally, Christian Johnson, Tyler Rogers, Risaiah Osborne, and Tyler Sproul made their Lourdes debuts in the win ... the Gray Wolves are outshooting opponents 51-13 this season.
