Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes faces a pair of key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matches this week as the Gray Wolves look to move into a position to earn a berth in the upcoming conference tournament.  Lourdes closes a four-match road trip on Wednesday at Cornerstone before hosting first place Lawrence Tech on Saturday afternoon.

Head Coach Barry Spitzer: In his third season on the Lourdes bench, Barry Spitzer has a 17-23-4 (.432) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as a men's soccer collegiate head coach at four year programs.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Cornerstone have split a pair of matches in a series that dates back to Oct. 28, 2015, with each winning on the other's home field.  The Gray Wolves won in Grand Rapids, Mich. 2-0 in the initial meeting before the Golden Eagles notched a 1-0 triumph at Wildcat Stadium on Oct. 19 of last season.  Lourdes and Lawrence Tech are 1-1 against each other in a series that began on Oct. 3, 2015.  The Gray Wolves won the first meeting, at Wildcat Stadium, 1-0 before the Blue Devils scored a 3-2 triumph in Southfield, Mich. on Oct. 22, 2016.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Reece Riccardi forced overtime on Wednesday scoring a goal with 2:37 remaining, but Siena Heights tallied the match-winner in overtime to defeat Lourdes 3-2.  Judah Goodridge, who scored in Wednesday's match at Siena Heights, also scored on Saturday at Northwestern Ohio, but the Racers tallied four goals in the final 31 minutes to defeat the Gray Wolves 4-1.

Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles are winless in their last five matches (0-4-1), but have played four overtime contests during the span.  Cornerstone is coming off of a 5-1 loss at Siena Heights on Saturday.  Kevin Nimmo and Richard Areche share the team lead with three goals each, with Nimmo also handing out a team-high two assists for eight points.  Dary DeWalt has played most of the minutes in goal, posting a 1.22 GAA and an .823 save percentage.

Battling for a WHAC Tourney Bid: Lourdes enters the penultimate week of the regular season in ninth place in the league standings, but just three points out of the final WHAC tournament berth.  The Gray Wolves still have two matches against teams behind them in the standings (Cornerstone and Michigan-Dearborn), and one against Concordia (Mich.), who is one spot ahead of Lourdes in the league ledger.

Goodridge Second on Single Season Charts: Judah Goodridge has scored nine goals over the last eight matches for the Gray Wolves to take the team's scoring lead with 10 goals on the year.  Goodridge has accounted for six of Lourdes' last seven goals overall as a team.  His 10 goals this season move him into second place on the single season charts, behind Jake Kirchoff-Sleet, who owns the school record scoring 13 times last year.  Goodridge is also second on the single season points list with 22.

Darosa Nearing Single Season Assist Record: Adilson Darosa registered his team-leading fifth assists of the season last Wednesday at Siena Heights, and is now one helper shy of Jake Kirchoff-Sleet's single season record of six which was set in 2016.
