Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes will open the home portion of its 2017 schedule on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Concordia (Mich.) at Wildcat Stadium. The Gray Wolves will then head to Grand Valley State on Saturday afternoon for an exhibition game against the Lakes, a MCLA club program.
On the Air: The game against Concordia (Mich.) will be broadcast tape-delayed by BCSN on Buckeye Cablesystem. The game will air on BCSN at 1:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday. In addition, BCSN2 will show the game on Thursday at 5 a.m., Saturday at 12:30 a.m., and Sunday at 1 a.m.
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his third season on the Lourdes bench,
Patrick Yannarelli has a 36-15 (.706) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes and Concordia (Mich.) have never met one another on the lacrosse field. Grand Valley State won the only previous meeting against Lourdes when both were members of the CCLA. The Lakers scored a 19-5 win in Allendale, Mich. on April 26, 2014 in the quarterfinals of the CCLA tournament.
Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves scored 10 goals in the opening quarter on Friday afternoon on the way to a 19-1 triumph at Madonna in the WHAC opener.Â
Dalton Vowles scored four times while
D.J. Harris added three more for Lourdes.Â
Jared Huiskens made three saves without surrendering a goal in the opening 30 minutes.
Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals, a first year program, have dropped two straight games following a 12-5 loss at Montreat on March 13. Oliver Niedzwiecki leads Concordia with 19 goals and 24 total points while Brendan Beerer has scored 10 times and added 10 assists for 20 points. In goal, Reggie Thompson has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 17.67 goals against average and a .369 save percentage.
Scouting Grand Valley State: The Lakers have won three straight games after downing Palm Beach Atlantic 10-4 on March 12. Lucas Gerard leads Grand Valley State with seven goals and five assists for 12 total points while three different goalkeepers have seen action, led by Kyrn Stoddard, who has an 8.50 goals against average and a .653 save percentage. Â
Sharing the Wealth: Lourdes had 11 different players find the back of the cage on Friday in the win over Madonna.Â

John McInturf all tallied their first goals of the 2017 season.
Collecting Ground Balls: Lourdes held a 43-11 advantage in ground balls against Madonna, led by
Devin Larabel who had seven.Â
Collin Miller and Nathanel Brown each had five ground balls as well in the win.
This and That: Lourdes' number two national ranking is its highest in program history ... the Gray Wolves won 19-of-24 faceoffs against Madonna ... Lourdes has allowed just 19 goals over the first three quarters this season.
