Wednesday evening's men's lacrosse game between Lourdes and Siena Heights was suspended with 6:14 remaining in the first quarter due to lightning at Wildcat Stadium.
The game was delayed for one-hour and four-minutes due to thunderstorms prior to the start of the game.
The teams played for 15 minutes with Lourdes leading 2-1 before lightning was detected again. After waiting nearly an hour, it was determined the game will resume at a later date to be determined.
Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) put Lourdes on the scoreboard just 1:11 into the contest, taking a feed from
Bret Sproul (Chelsea, Maine/Cony H.S.).
D.J. Harris (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg H.S.) added to the lead just 1:02 later with an unassisted tally.
Siena Heights cut its deficit in half with 8:37 to play in the opening quarter on a goal by Nicholas Lyons, the final goal before play was stopped for the evening.
Lourdes will return to action on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves host Aquinas at Wildcat Stadium. The opening faceoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
