Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes wraps up the non-conference portion of its 2017 schedule this week with a pair of matches.  The Gray Wolves travel to Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday evening before hosting Andrews on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.

Head Coach Barry Spitzer: In his third season on the Lourdes bench, Barry Spitzer has a 14-17-4 (.429) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as a men's soccer collegiate head coach at four year programs.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Indiana Wesleyan are meeting on the pitch in men's soccer for the first time ever on Wednesday evening.  The Gray Wolves are 1-0 all-time against Andrews.  Lourdes defeated the Cardinals 9-1 in Berrien Springs, Mich. on Sept. 1, 2016 in the only previous meeting between the two schools.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Haggi Amirally scored three times while Reece Riccardi and Judah Goodridge each found the back of the net as well on Thursday as Lourdes defeated Grace Bible 5-0 in Wyoming, Mich.  Amirally had the match-winner just 1:49 into the contest while Riccardi had a goal and an assist.  Adilson Darosa added two helpers as well.  Jose Cedillo made a pair of saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Scouting Indiana Wesleyan: The Wildcats will play their fourth of six straight home matches on Wednesday when they entertain Lourdes.  Indiana Wesleyan has dropped two straight contests, the most recent, a 2-1 setback to fifth-ranked Rio Grande on Saturday evening.  Sammy Conti leads the team with seven points, having scored three times while adding an assist.  Jacob Singer has added three goals for the Wildcats.  In goal, Lucas Fancello sports a 0.85 goals against average and has an .846 save percentage while Andrew Wick has posted a 1.90 GAA and a .500 save mark.

Scouting Andrews: The Cardinals are still looking for their first victory of the season after suffering an 8-0 setback at home against Judson on Monday evening.  Andrews is still looking for its first goal of the year, and travels to Moody Bible on Friday evening before heading to Lourdes.

Amirally Earns WHAC Honors: Haggi Amirally became just the second Gray Wolf in program history to earn Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts at Grace Bible.  The senior recorded a hat trick, scoring on three of his five shot attempts, all of which were on goal.

Fourth Hat Trick in Program History: Haggi Amirally's three goals at Grace Bible marked just the fourth hat trick in school history.  Jake Kirchoff-Sleet (5 goals) and Ryan O'Hara (3 goals) recorded the first at Lourdes in the same match on Sept. 7, 2016 against Great Lakes Christian.  Demaro Fowler added a hat trick one week later at Cincinnati-Clermont.  For Amirally, he entered the match with just two career goals, but now leads the team with four tallies this year.

Lots of Goals: Lourdes scored five times at Grace Bible on Thursday afternoon, the fourth highest output in school history.  The Gray Wolves set a school record with 27 goals against Great Lakes Christian last season, while also tallying 10 at Cincinnati-Clermont and nine at Andrews.

Clean Sheet for Cedillo: Jose Cedillo recorded his fifth career shutout in the win over Grace Bible.  The fifth-year senior goalkeeper needed to make just two saves in the win, but lowered his season's goals against average to 0.87 and increased his save percentage to .786.

Controlling the First Half: Lourdes has found the back of the net first in all three of its matches this season.  In fact, the Gray Wolves have yet to yield a first half goal defensively, outscoring the opposition 4-0 in the opening 45 minutes.

Lending a Helping Foot: Adilson Darosa handed out a pair of assists for the Gray Wolves in the victory at Grace Bible, his first two helpers of the season.  For his career, Darosa now has three assists, and has increased his point production to 15, tied for third most in program history.

Multi-point Day for Riccardi: Reece Riccardi recorded his first three points of the season for the Gray Wolves last Thursday at Grace Bible.  He began his day's effort with an assist on the match-winning goal before scoring his first goal of the year in the 63rd minute to increase the lead to 3-0.

Arno Moves Into Second: Akilla Arno had an assist at Grace Bible, his first in 2017.  The fifth-year senior now has six career helpers for the Gray Wolves, moving into second place alone on the Lourdes' all-time assist chart.

Roster Addition: Nathanael Brown has rejoined the Lourdes men's soccer roster after playing for the Gray Wolves in 2015.  Brown has three seasons of eligibility remaining, and appeared in one match for Lourdes two years ago, making his collegiate debut at Cincinnati Christian.  Brown is a multi-sport athlete, as he is also a member of the Lourdes lacrosse team.

Captains: Jose Cedillo and Judah Goodridge have been named the Lourdes captains for the 2017 season.  Both are serving in the leadership role for the first time in their careers.

This and That: Judah Goodridge scored his first goal of the season, and ninth of his career, at Grace Bible ... 12 different players have at least one shot attempt this season ... beginning with the Andrews match, Lourdes will play four out of five contests at home.
