Upcoming in Gray Wolves Baseball: Lourdes will finish a pair of suspended games, play two non-conference games against league opponents, and host a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference series this week.  The Gray Wolves will travel to Siena Heights on Thursday and Concordia (Mich.) on Friday to finish suspended games followed by a non-conference game against each team.  Lourdes then hosts Aquinas on Saturday for a doubleheader as well as a single game on Sunday.

On the Air: Sunday's game against Northwestern Ohio will be broadcast on BCSN as part of Buckeye Broadband.   The game will be shown on a tape-delay basis.

Head Coach Jeremy Snow: In his third season on the Lourdes bench, Jeremy Snow has a 42-88 (.323) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves, as well as in his career as a collegiate head coach.  He is the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Probable Starters: Jeremy Zsolcsak (RHP, 0-1, 13.50) is slated to start the non-conference game against Siena Heights on Thursday while Ryan Stoller (RHP, 1-1, 5.84) is scheduled to pitch against Concordia (Mich.) on Friday.  Matt York (RHP, 2-2, 5.15) and Zach Brown (RHP, 2-4, 5.98) are the probable starters for Saturday's doubleheader against Aquinas, while Braxton McKart (RHP, 3-0, 8.48) will be handed the baseball in Sunday's series finale.

Series Notes: Siena Heights holds a 15-8 all-time advantage against the Gray Wolves dating back to April 5, 2012.  The Saints won a non-conference game between the two schools back on Feb. 27 4-1 and Lourdes won the conference tilt 9-5 on April 8.  Concordia (Mich.) holds a 16-8-1 series advantage over the Gray Wolves dating back to April 13, 2012.  The Cardinals won the opener of the series on April 12, 12-5, while Lourdes won the second game 6-5.  Aquinas holds a 14-5 series edge against Lourdes dating back to April 21, 2012.  Last year the Saints swept the series in Grand Rapids by scores of 10-0, 3-0, and 16-0.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves had their game on Monday suspended 4-4 after nine innings at Siena Heights.  Lourdes dropped the first two games of a tripleheader at Cornerstone 2-0 and 7-2 on Wednesday before winning the finale 2-1 with Braxton McKart earning the win.  Thursday Lourdes dropped a 12-5 game at Concordia (Mich.) before rebounding in game on Friday with a 6-5 win as McKart earned another win.  Game two was suspended after nine innings tied 8-8.

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints dropped two of three games last Friday as part of a tripleheader against Cornerstone and host Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday prior to Lourdes returning on Thursday.  Freddy Jehle is hitting .444 for Siena Heights while Brenden Baker has driven in 26 runs for a team batting .288 overall.  The pitching staff sports a 5.54 ERA led by Reid Olmstead, who is 5-4 with a 2.65 ERA.

Trying to Finish: Lourdes had never had a game suspended in program history prior to last week and ended up with two in the same week.  Monday's game at Siena Heights was suspended due to snow on Monday evening, and will be resumed on Thursday tied 4-4 heading to the 10th inning.  On Friday, Lourdes had its game with Concordia (Mich.) suspended due to darkness tied 8-8 after nine innings.  That game will resume this Friday.

Chasing History: With Lourdes' next victory, the Gray Wolves will set a new program record for wins in a season.  The 2013 team which finished the year 16-27-1 overall, and currently the Gray Wolves are 16-17 with two games to finish and eight more games to play.

Closing the Year at Home: With next week's games at Taylor cancelled due to scheduling conflicts by the Trojans, Lourdes will play its final road game of regular season on Friday at Concordia (Mich.).  The Gray Wolves will end the season with six straight home games, three against Aquinas and three against Rochester (Mich.).

This and That: George Pastor is the only Gray Wolf to appear in, and start, all 25 games this season ... Pastor enters the week with a 13-game hitting streak, including hits in both suspended games ... Lourdes' 20 total triples rank sixth in the NAIA.
