Lourdes's League of Legends picked up their first win of the season, defeating Mount Union 2-1.

Game 1 was a marathon that lasted just under 50 minutes. Lourdes took an early gold lead as the teams fought early and often. After losing back to back team fights around the 15 minute mark, Lourdes leaped ahead after winning a team fight 4-0, taking two turrets, and grabbing the Baron all within a minute. Unfazed, the Purple Raiders fought back as multiple isolated eliminations found them knocking on the door of Lourdes' base. While Mount Union seemed poised to end the game, freshman top laner Nathan Talbot teleported behind the fight into the Purple Raider's base and successfully destroyed it, handing game one to the Gray Wolves.
 
In game two, Mount Union started by picking up an early dragon and building on that success. While the Gray Wolves were able to take a couple towers as well as a dragon of their own, the Purple Raiders found themselves with a 6k gold lead 26 minutes into the game. With the help of ADC Gavin Cale, Lourdes won two large team fights in the late stages of the game. The Gray Wolves took a chance at taking the enemy base and were unsuccessful, losing a team fight opening the backdoor for Mount Union to destroy the Gray Wolves base, securing game two for the Purple Raiders.
 
Gavin Cale lead the team in round three, securing nine eliminations with zero deaths as Lourdes finished the game in less than 23 minutes. The Gray Wolves were able to make a complete turn around in comparison to the second game as they captured eleven turrets to Mount Union's one, winning game three and granting the League of Legends team their first win of the season.

Lourdes League of Legends will be back in action on October 19 against Muskingum University.
