The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced its esports coaches' poll for both Overwatch 2 and League of Legends with Lourdes University picked to finish third and seventh respectively in the two games.
In Overwatch 2, the Gray Wolves finished with 45 points in the balloting. Cleary garnered five first place votes and was picked to win the league while Indiana Tech was selected as the league's runner-up with two first place votes. Rochester (Mich.) recorded the final first place vote and was selected fourth, just behind Lourdes, followed by Lawrence Tech and Siena Heights. Aquinas and Concordia (Mich.) rounded out the voting.
In League of Legends, Lourdes picked up 20 points to finish just behind sixth place Concordia and ahead of eighth place Cleary in the balloting. Aquinas was projected to win the league with four first place votes while Rochester was picked second overall with three number one votes. Siena was tabbed third with the final first place vote while Indiana Tech and Lawrence Tech were picked fourth and fifth respectively.
Lawrence Tech will serve as the host for the postseason tournament, with Overwatch 2taking place on April 6 and League of Legends being contested on April 7.
