Box Score The Lourdes men's lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought 15-8 decision on the road at No. 10-ranked Aquinas on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Gray Wolves found themselves in a 4-0 hole early on in the first period as Aquinas (6-2, 3-0 WHAC) raced out to take the lead.
 
Lourdes was able to get on the board at the 5:15 mark of the first period as 
Blake Alexander (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) scored back-to-back goals to cut the lead to 5-2 after one period. 
Chad Causley (Clinton Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) and 
Nick Johnson (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) assisted on the two goals.
 
Aquinas scored the opening goal of the second period to push the lead to 6-2, but Johnson and Causley score two straight, getting Lourdes back within two midway through the second quarter.
 
The Saints scored the final two goals of the period, carrying an 8-4 lead into the intermission. Aquinas also scored two goals to open the second half, but 
Collin Miller (Royal Oak, Mich./Shrine Catholic) ended the scoring run, netting his lone goal to cut the deficit to 10-5 at the 5:05 mark of third period.
 
Johnson found the back of the cage three times in the fourth quarter, but Aquinas was able to pull away to seal the 15-8 victory.
 
Johnson led the way for Lourdes offensively, scoring four goals. Alexander added a pair of goals. 
Tyler Hart (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) went the distance in the net, stopping six shots. Johnson also picked up a team-high eight ground balls for the Gray Wolves.
 
Lourdes (5-3, 1-2 WHAC) will take a week off and will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as it hosts Concordia (Mich.) at 1 p.m.
