Upcoming in Gray Wolves Baseball: Lourdes continues action in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference this weekend as it travels to Howell, Michigan to meet Cleary for a twinbill on Saturday. Lourdes will then take on UM-Dearborn at Mercy Field as the visiting team on Sunday afternoon in a doubleheader.

Head Coach Jeremy Snow: In his third season on the Lourdes bench, Jeremy Snow has a 57-106 (.350) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves, as well as in his career as a collegiate head coach. He is the second head coach in Lourdes program's history and is the winningest coach in program history.

Probable Starters: The Gray Wolves have yet to announce starters for this weekends contests.

Series Notes: Cleary leads the all-time series between the two schools by a 7-5 margin. The two teams haven't met since the 2017 campaign when Cleary won a pair of games on April 5. Lourdes is a perfect 3-0 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn in the series. The two schools met for the first time in 2018 as Lourdes opened the season with three straight victories over the Wolverines.

Wrapping Up Last Week: The Gray Wolves opened the week with a twinbill at Northwestern Ohio last weekend. Lourdes fell 5-4 in extra innings in game one before suffering a 6-1 setback in the second contest. The Gray Wolves rebounded with a pair of victories against Rochester, taking game one 10-9 before completing the sweep of the Warriors with a 9-2 victory in game two.

Scouting Cleary: Cleary enters Saturday's contests after dropping a twinbill at Huntington. The Cougars have dropped five of their last six games heading into the weekend. Anthony Lacle currently leads the team with a .333 batting average. Daniel Garcia has a team-leading 18 hits while teammate Sheldon Rouzan ranks second on the squad with 16 hits. Rouzan also leads the offense with 14 RBI. On the mound for the Cougars, James Edwards leads the staff with a 1.08 ERA and owns a 1-0 record. Damon Ellis has a team-best 13 strikeouts while Nick Pica ranks second on the team with 10 K's this season.

Scouting UM-Dearborn: The Wolverines will travel to Aquinas on Saturday afternoon prior to meeting Lourdes on Sunday at Mercy Field. Through 28 games this season, Ryan Beadle and Daniel Kerr rank first and second on the team hitting .433 and .429, respectively. The duo also ranks second and third in the WHAC in the category. Beadle currently owns a conference-best 45 hits for the Wolverine offense and also leads the league with 33 runs batted in. Garrett Davis leads the pitching staff on the bump this season with a team-low 1.87 ERA, a mark that ranks fifth in the WHAC. John Dyda leads the team, and ranks third in the conference, with 42 strikeouts on the mound.

Visitors At Mercy Field: The doubleheader between the Gray Wolves and the Wolverines on Sunday afternoon will be played at Mercy Field in Toledo, Ohio. Lourdes will serve as the visiting team in both games after a scheduling conflict resulted in the contest taking place in Toledo.

A Walk Off To Remember: Brad Ammons' first career home run could not have come at a better time last weekend as Lourdes needed a pair of victories over Rochester to combat a slow start in the WHAC. Trailing 9-6 heading into the bottom of the ninth in game one against Rochester, Lourdes scored four runs, capped of by a two-run home run from Ammons to seal the 10-9 victory. Lourdes then picked up a 9-2 victory in game two of the twinbill.

Sweeping Their Way To Victory: Lourdes picked up its first sweep in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference when it picked up a pair of victories over Rochester. The Gray Wolves split a twinbill against Cornerstone earlier this season to pick up their lone conference victory prior to the Rochester victories.

Settling In On The Mound: Braxton McKart found his rhythm on the mound in the first game against Rochester on Saturday. After recording seven strikeouts in his last three appearances combined, McKart waived eight batters in his start against Rochester.

Impressive At The Plate: George Pastor and Brad Ammons were both outstanding at the plate against Rochester. In two games, Pastor went 6-for-9 at the plate, drove in five runs and scored five times for the Gray Wolves. Ammons finished the twinbill going a combined 5-for-10 with four RBI and three runs offensively for Lourdes. Ammons also added a two-run walkoff home run.

Tough To Hit Off Of: Zach Brown has established himself as a force on the bump for the Gray Wolf pitching staff this season. Brown currently ranks third in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference in opponents batting average, allowing opposing players to hit at just a .193 clip when he is pitching.

Leading The League: Michael Davis has been a problem for opposing teams on the bases this season. Davis currently leads the conference and ranks 13th nationally with 0.60 stolen bases per contest. Davis in 9-of-12 on stolen base attempts this season.

This and That: the Gray Wolves and Cleary will meet for the first time as members of the WHAC ... Lourdes has five players hitting .325 or above this season ... 14 pitchers have made multiple appearances on the mound for Lourdes.
