The Lourdes eSports Hearthstone and League of Legends teams competed in the Akron Zips eSports Invitational on Friday.

The Gray Wolf Hearthstone team made its 2019 debut during the invitational.

Lourdes began play in League of Legends with a pair of matchups against Case Western Reserve. In the first contest, Lourdes fell in a tight 1-0 battle. The second contest, a best-of-three series against Case Western Reserve, saw Lourdes drop a 2-0 decision.

The Hearthstone team kicked off their season with a matchup against Ashland University.

The Gray Wolves picked up a season-opening 2-1 triumph over the Eagles. Lourdes would then go on to challenge both Saints HS and Akron in Hearthstone. The Gray Wolves fell in both matchups. 

Lourdes continues action in the Zips eSports Invitational tomorrow. Opponents and times have yet to be determined.
