Lourdes Sweeps Friday Matches Against Mount Union

Gray Wolves win League and Overwatch against the Purple Raiders

The Lourdes League of Legends team grabbed a 2-0 win over Mount Union Friday afternoon, improving their record to 6-5 in the Great Lakes Esports Conference on the season.
 
Game 1 saw the Gray Wolves dominate the round from start to finish as they out-scored the Purple Raiders 25-3 in eliminations. The game was never in doubt as Lourdes finished with a gold advantage of 18.1k over Mount Union
 
Game 2 was more of the same as the Gray Wolves finished the round in under 23 minutes. Lourdes had three times as many eliminations as they had 30 to 10 for the Purple Raiders. Jordan Zakrajsek and Jacob Stell tied for the team lead with 8 eliminations, while Nathan Talbot and Gavin Cale both had 7 eliminations and over 11k in gold earned.
 
The League team is back in action on Sunday when they face Grand Valley State in the third round of CLoL.

Overwatch

The Lourdes Overwatch team found revenge against conference foe Mount Union, defeating the Purple Raiders 2-0 on Friday afternoon, moving them to an even 6-6 record in the GLEC on the season.
 
Game 1 saw the teams fight it out on Busan. The first point, Downtown, was a clean sweep for Lourdes as they won the round 100-0. The next point, Sanctuary, was closer but the Gray Wolves still won 100-77.
 
Game 2 brought the action to King's Row. Lourdes was able to capture the first two points with ease. However, once they got to point three, things became more difficult. A couple great ultimates by Jimmy Baye, led the Gray Wolves to complete the map. On defense, Lourdes was able to hold Mount Union completely off first point, full holding them and winning the map 3-0.
 
The Owerwatch team returns to action Thursday as they take on Northwood.
