Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: A busy week is ahead for men's lacrosse as Lourdes plays three games in a six-day span beginning Wednesday as the Gray Wolves host seventh-ranked Madonna. Lourdes takes to the road on Saturday to face Michigan-Dearborn before heading to Siena Heights on Monday for a make-up game.
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his sixth season on the Lourdes bench,
Patrick Yannarelli has a 61-34 (.642) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Madonna holds a 2-1 series edge against Lourdes dating back to March 17, 2017. The Crusaders have won the last two meetings, including a 13-12 double-overtime decision a Wildcat Stadium in 2019. Madonna is 2-0 all-time in Sylvania. The Gray Wolves are 5-1 against Michigan-Dearborn in a series that began March 16, 2014. In the last meeting, Lourdes downed the Wolverines 15-7 in 2019 in Beverly Hills, Mich., where the Gray Wolves hold a 3-0 series edge. Siena Heights leads the series against Lourdes 5-3 dating back to March 26, 2014. The Saints have won the last two between the two schools, including a 10-9 overtime victory in the last meeting in 2019. Siena Heights is 4-1 against Lourdes in Adrian, Mich.
Wrapping Up Last Week: In a defensive battle, No. 2 Indiana Tech defeated Lourdes 6-4 on Saturday (March 27).

Tyler Queen made 24 saves in goal.
Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have won four straight games after downing Michigan-Dearborn 14-7 on March 24. Harry Dyson and Cole Gingell have 13 goals each and lead the team with 17 and 16 points respectively. Marco McMann and Jordan Davis share the Madonna team lead with five assists each. In goal, Jeff Varner sports a 9.73 goals against vaerage and a .551 save percentage.
Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines are still looking for their first win of the season after falling 14-8 at Concordia (Mich.) on Sunday. Bryce Washington leads Michigan-Dearborn with 10 goals and 12 points while Parker Steindl has a team-high three assists. In goal, Jon Chaffee sports a 16.00 goals against average and a .365 save percentage.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints enter the week having won two straight after downing Taylor 18-9 on Sunday. Siena Heights plays Indiana Tech on Saturday before hosting Lourdes. Garnet Potter has a team-high six goals and 11 assists while Jake Gallaher has handed out six assists and has 10 points. In goal, Vinnie Jean sports a 7.00 goals against average and has a .641 save percentage.
Queen Earns Multiple Honors: Tyler Queen was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week for his role against Indiana Tech. Queen made a school-record 24 saves on 30 shots while also registering five ground balls.
Campbell on All-Time Scoring Lists: Cory Campbell ranks fifth in program history with 71 career goals. Campbell is 11 goals behind fourth place
Dylan Gill (2014-2016). Campbell is also fifth in school history with 28 career assists, nine helpers behind fourth place
Casey Hilfinger (2015-2018). Campbell's 99 career points have pushed him into fifth place on that list as well, six behind Gill.
Grabbing Ground Balls: Jake Noel has 29 ground balls this season and 184 for his career, fourth most in program history, just three shy of
Casey Hilfinger (2015-2018) for third place on the career list.
This and That: Lourdes is 3-4 all-time in overtime, but has not played more than 90 minutes since a double-overtime loss to #2 Madonna on April 17, 2019 ... the Gray Wolves are just 2-for-21 in man-up opportunities ... Lourdes is 11-14 all-time against NAIA ranked foes.
