Head coach Dock Kelly III has announced that Gabe Meyer has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Lourdes University beginning this fall.
 
The Delta, Ohio native was a four-year letterwinner at Delta High School, competing in weight classes ranging from 113 through 138 pounds during his prep career.
 
"Gabe is quality student-athlete that coming to us from a powerhouse wrestling program," Kelly stated.  "He is a skilled lightweight who will make an immediate impact for us."
 
Meyer posted a 32-5 record as a senior for the Panthers, finishing in fifth place at the state championships.  He was a three-time district placer while finishing runner-up in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League as a senior.
 
Meyer helped lead Delta to a third place finish at the state championships in 2020-2021, as well as a third place finish at the state team duals.
 
Upon arriving at Lourdes, Meyer intends to major in digital and media studies.
