Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes returns home for the first time in 2022 this week as the Gray Wolves will play five of their next six games at Wildcat Stadium.  Lourdes hosts Siena Heights on Wednesday evening before entertaining second-ranked Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon.
 
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his ninth season on the Lourdes bench, Patrick Yannarelli has a 71-37 (.657) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Siena Heights holds a 5-4 all-time edge over the Gray Wolves in a series that began March 26, 20214.  Lourdes won last year's contest on April 5 by the score of 8-5 in Adrian, Mich.  The Gray Wolves won the only previous meeting at Wildcat Stadium in 2017.  Indiana Tech is 6-2 against Lourdes all-time dating back to March 23 ,2016.  The Warriors have won the last six meetings between the two schools, including 6-4 and 17-10 decisions last season in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Lourdes is 2-1 against Indiana Tech at Wildcat Stadium.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Caden Louthan scored four times and Tyler Pezzot added three more goals as Lourdes concluded non-conference play with a 14-7 victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene on Wednesday (March 23).  Louthan then tallied five goals on Saturday in the WHAC opener as the Gray Wolves notched a 14-11 road win at Concordia (Mich.)

Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints are coming off a 22-2 victory on Friday in their WHAC opener at Cleary and have won two of their last three games.  Jake Gallaher has scored a team-leading 18 goals and also has nine assists for 27 points.  Garnet Potter has 13 goals and 21 points while Eric Csizmadia has found the back of the cage 15 times this year.  In goal, Vinnie Jean sports an 11.02 goals against average and a .596 save percentage.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors have won five straight games after a 17-7 victory at home against Lawrence Tech on Saturday.  Indiana Tech hosts Aquinas on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Andrew Ryan leads the Warriors with 16 goals and 22 points while Louis Czech has 14 goals.  Nate Langille has a team-leading 10 assists.  In goal, Kyle TwoBulls sports a 5.33 goals against average and a .636 save percentage.

Facing Ranked Foes: Lourdes is 13-16 all-time against NAIA ranked opponents since 2016.  The Gray Wolves went 2-3 last season, downing #7 and #10 Madonna while falling to #2 Indiana Tech (twice) and #1 Reinhardt.

Freshman Making a Mark: Caden Louthan has been an offensive threat for Lourdes all season.  The freshman leads the tam with 14 goals and 17 points with 21 of his 33 shot attempts on goal in 2022.

On the Scoring Lists: Nick Johnson and Chad Causley rank eighth and 10th respectively in career points at Lourdes.  Johnson has 83 dating back to 2019 while Causley has 79 since arriving with the Gray Wolves in 2018.  Johnson is also sixth with 63 career goals while Causley is seventh all-time with 32 career assists.

Winning Faceoffs: Lourdes has won 58.2% of its faceoffs in 2022.  Ezequel Ceant is 45-of-80 (56.3%) at the X while also leading the Gray Wolves with 24 ground balls.
