Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes wraps up the home portion of the 2022 schedule this week with a pair of games that will have big implications on the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings. The Gray Wolves entertain Cleary on Wednesday evening before hosting Aquinas for Senior Night on Saturday.
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his ninth season on the Lourdes bench,
Patrick Yannarelli has a 73-39 (.652) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 4-0 all-time against Cleary in a series that dates back to Feb. 27, 2016. The Gray Wolves won the last meeting against the Cougars via forfeit in 2019, the only previous scheduled appearance for Cleary at Wildcat Stadium. Lourdes holds a 5-2 series edge against Aquinas dating back to March 29, 2014. The Saints won the 2021 meeting on the field 11-10 in overtime before later forfeiting the game. Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Aquinas at Wildcat Stadium.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes used a 6-1 run spanning the second and third quarters on Wednesday and defeated Madonna 12-7 in Livonia, Mich.

Caden Louthan, and
Tyler Pezzot all scored three times for the Gray Wolves while
George Hoexum made 10 saves. On Saturday, the Gray Wolves scored seven consecutive goals after falling behind 1-0, and defeated Michigan-Dearborn 10-5 at Wildcat Stadium. Louthan and
Chad Causley each scored three times in the victory while Hoexum made 11 stops.
Scouting Cleary: The Cougars are still looking for their first victory of the season after falling 20-2 to Aquinas on Friday evening. Danny Pudduck leads Cleary with 12 points this season, including a team-high nine assists. Zach Easkes has scored seven times while Mike Smith has added six goals. Between the posts, Adam Roper has played every minutes, sporting a 21.44 goals against average and a .481 save percentage.
Scouting Aquinas: The Saints have won three straight games entering the week after defeating Cleary 20-2 on the road Friday night. Aquinas visits Taylor on Wednesday before heading to Lourdes. Mitch Haggart leads the Saints with 30 goals and 38 total points this season while Jon Jardis has added 36 points, including a team-high 24 assists. Zachary Sweet has added 26 goals. In the cage, Clayton Boerigter has played a majority of the minutes for Aquinas, sporting a 10.26 goals against average and a .513 save percentage.

Hoexum Earns WHAC Honors: George Hoexum was named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting a .636 save percentage and a 6.11 goals against average in the victories over Madonna and Michigan-Dearborn. Hoexum also registered nine ground balls.
On the Career List: Nick Johnson has moved into sixth place on Lourdes career points list with 95 while
Chad Causley is tied for eighth with 90 points. Causley is also tied for fifth with 37 career assists while Johnson ranks sixth with 71 all-time goals.
This and That: Caden Louthan has accounted for seven of the team's 10 man-up goals this year ...
Ezequel Ceant has won 82-of-132 (62.1%) faceoffs and has 55 ground balls ... 11 different Gray Wolves have scored this season and 13 different players have registered points ... Aquinas is the second ranked team Lourdes will have faced this season (Indiana Tech, April 2, L 20-5).
