Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: The final week of the regular season has arrived as Lourdes looks to solidify a home game in next week's Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.  The Gray Wolves head to Lawrence Tech on Wednesday evening before concluding the campaign at Taylor on Saturday afternoon.
 
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his ninth season on the Lourdes bench, Patrick Yannarelli has a 74-40 (.649) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 5-4 all-time advantage against Lawrence Tech in a series that dates back to April 2, 2014.  The Blue Devils have won the last three meetings between the two schools though, including.  The teams have not met since 2019 when Lawrence Tech was an 8-7 winner in overtime during the regular season and a  13-9 victor in the WHAC tournament.  Lawrence Tech is 2-1 all-time against Lourdes in Southfield, Mich.  Lourdes has won both previous meetings against Taylor in a series that began March 23, 2019.  Last season the Gray Wolves were 19-10 victors over the Trojans at Wildcat Stadium.  This will be Lourdes first trip ever to Upland, Ind.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes scored the game's first 12 goals on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves defeated Cleary 16-3 at home.  Liam Wisniewski, Tyler Pezzot, and Tanner Allan each scored twice while Xander Slate made four saves in 30 minutes of action.  On Saturday, Aquinas scored the first nine goals of the second half on the way to a 16-7 victory to spoil the Gray Wolves' Senior Night.  Sanaan Cuffy scored twice for Lourdes while George Hoexum made 17 stops in the cage.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils are coming off a 10-6 setback at home on Saturday against Concordia (Mich.).  Grady Holmes leads Lawrence Tech with 25 goals and 38 total points while Maveric Muscat also has 38 points with a team-leading 30 assists.  In goal, Brent Matthews sports a 10.99 goals against average and a .453 save percentage.

Scouting Aquinas: The Trojans enter the week having dropped nine straight after falling 18-6 at Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday.  Taylor heads to Cleary on Wednesday before hosting Lourdes.  Aidan Craig leads the Trojans with 23 points and 16 assists this season while Reid Gerig has scored a team-high 16 goals.  Between the posts, Nathanael Love sports a 15.78 goals against average and a .454 save percentage.

Seeking a Home Game: Lourdes enters the final week of the regular season looking to secure a home game in the quarterfinals of the WHAC tournament next Tuesday (April 26).  The third and fourth place teams host the sixth and fifth place squads respectively in the first round.  Currently Lourdes is in fourth place, one game ahead of four teams tied for fifth.

A Tight Scoring Race: Heading into the final two games of the regular season, Caden Louthan and Chad Causley hold a one-point lead over Tyler Pezzot and Nick Pezzot for the team's scoring lead with 30 points each.  Louthan also leads Lourdes with 24 goals while Causley has a team-high 14 assists.  

On the Career List: Nick Johnson has moved into sixth place on Lourdes career points list with 98 while Chad Causley has moved into seventh place with 94 points.  Causley is also fifth with 39 career assists while Johnson ranks sixth with 73 all-time goals.
 
This and That: A total of 17 different Gray Wolves have scored this season and 21 players have registered at least one point ... Lourdes has won 61.7% of its faceoffs, led by Ezequel Ceant who is 108-of-173 (62.4%) ... the Gray Wolves have been outshot 372-365 this  year.
