Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes takes to the road on Wednesday afternoon for a key WHAC battle at Madonna. The Gray Wolves then return home on Saturday to begin their final homestand of the season, hosting Michigan-Dearborn.
Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his ninth season on the Lourdes bench,
Patrick Yannarelli has a 71-39 (.645) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves. Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 3-2 all-time series advantage against Madonna dating back to March 17, 2017. The Gray Wolves have won two straight against the Crusaders after downing Madonna 11-10 at Wildcat Stadium during the regular season last year. Lourdes was also a 12-4 winner over Madonna at home in the WHAC tournament semifinals. Lourdes won the only previous meeting in Livonia, Mich. in 2017. The Gray Wolves hold a 6-1 edge over Michigan-Dearborn in a series that began March 16, 2014. Lourdes has won two straight after downing the Wolverines 13-11 at Wildcat Stadium last season, where the Gray Wolves are 3-0 all-time against Michigan-Dearborn.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Siena Heights found the back of the cage with just 1:44 to play for the match-winner on Wednesday as the Saints defeated Lourdes 13-12.

George Hoexum had 15 saves in the game. On Saturday, #2 Indiana Tech outscored the Gray Wolves 11-1 after halftime on the way to a 20-5 victory.
Nick Johnson had two goals to lead Lourdes while Hoexum made 19 stops.
Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders had their two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 17-10 loss at home to #5 Aquinas. Ian Rush leads Madonna with 15 goals and 21 total points while Cole Gingell has added 14 tallies and 20 points. Eddie Dyla leads the Crusaders with eight assists. In goal, Jeff Varner has played a majority of the minutes, sporting an 11.49 goals against average and a .557 save percentage.
Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines snapped a three-game losing skid on Saturday with a 13-6 triumph over Concordia (Mich.). Michigan-Dearborn travels to Cleary on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes. Nolan Kelley leads the Wolverines with 31 goals and 34 points this season while Bryce Washington has handed out a team-high 22 assists. In goal, Jay Rupnow sports a 10.86 goals against average and a .491 save percentage.
Hoexum Makes Stops: George Hoexum registered a career-high 19 saves in the game against Indiana Tech after 15 stops versus Siena Heights. Hoexum had just 29 total saves over his first four collegiate games. He sports an 11.13 goals against average and a .488 save mark.
A Tight Scoring Race: Caden Louthan,
Tyler Pezzot, and
Chad Causley all share the team lead with 20 points this season while
Nick Johnson is one behind with 19. Louthan leads the team with 16 goals while Causley has a team-high 10 assists.
Winning Faceoffs: Lourdes has won 57.1% of its faceoffs in 2022.
Ezequel Ceant is 55-of-98 (56.1%) at the X while
Tyler Pezzot has won 29-of-47 (.617). Ceant also leads the Gray Wolves with 37 ground balls.
