Final Results
Lourdes had five wrestlers earn top-six finishes on Saturday as the Gray Wolves finished seventh overall as a team at the Spartan Mat Classic held inside Stauffer-Wolfe Arena in North Manchester, Ind.

The Gray Wolves finished with 66 points, just five points behind sixth place Indiana Tech. Lourdes was 3.5 points ahead of eighth place Heidelberg in the field of 17 schools. Wabash won the meet with 153.5 points, eight more than runner-up Baldwin Wallace.

"This was a great tournament with quality teams that allowed us to gauge where we are overall, at certain weight classes," head coach
Dock Kelly III said afterwards. "I'm proud of the way that the guys battled today, especially
Hunter Noland. He set the tone early for the entire day, and that is just the kind of leadership that this team needs."

Hunter Noland (Dalton, Ga./Dalton H.S.) led the way for Lourdes with a runner-up finish at 149 pounds. He recorded three pins and a major decision for his four victories.

Tyler Hisey (St. Marys, Ohio/Memorial H.S.) placed fourth at 125 pounds. He began his day with a major decision before recording a fall. He won his quarterfinal match by decision.Â
Dru Wilson (Warren, Mich./Wood-Tower H.S.) also placed fourth for the Gray Wolves, doing so at 133 pounds. He registered a pin before winning his quarterfinal match by decision.

Trevor Hisey (St. Marys, Ohio/Memorial H.S.) earned a sixth place finish for Lourdes in the 125-pound weight class. He notched a tech fall, decision, and pin on the day.Â
Tommy Mabry (St. Marys, Ohio/Memorial H.S.) also finished sixth on the day, doing so at 165 pounds. He had two falls, a major decision, and a decision on the afternoon.

Tyler Weseman (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) had two wins for Lourdes at 165 as well. He notched an opening round pin while also winning by decision later in the day.Â
Tristan Brady (Deerfield, Ohio/Elyria H.S.) scored a first round also wrestling at 165 while
Niko Christo (Galion, Ohio/Northmor H.S.) added a tech fall victory in his first match at the same weight class.

Lourdes returns to the mat on Sunday for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference dual match against seventh-ranked Marian. The opening bout is set for 1 p.m. inside the Physical Education Building in Indianapolis, Ind.
