Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes returns home to Wildcat Stadium this week for a pair of key Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests.  The Gray Wolves will entertain Michigan-Dearborn on Wednesday night before hosting Madonna on Saturday afternoon.

Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli: In his 10th season on the Lourdes bench, Patrick Yannarelli has a 79-44 (.642) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  Yannarelli was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year in 2016.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 7-1 all-time series edge against Michigan-Dearborn dating back to March 16, 2014.  The Gray Wolves have won the last three meetings between the two schools after downing the Wolverines 10-5 at Wildcat Stadium last season.  Lourdes is 3-1 against Michigan-Dearborn all-time at Wildcat Stadium.  The Gray Wolves are 4-2 all-time against Madonna in a series that began March 17, 2017.  Lourdes has won three straight in the series after downing the Crusaders 12-7 in Livonia, Mich. in 2022.  The series is tied 2-2 at Wildcat Stadium.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes used a big second quarter to open up a 6-1 lead on Monday (March 20) and defeated SCAD-Savannah 10-7 in the home opener at Wildcat Stadium.  Brock Meomartino scored three times while in goal, Jack Bichsel made eight saves for the victory.  The Gray Wolves closed out non-conference play on Wednesday (March 22) with a 12-4 win at Thomas More.  Nick Johnson had three goals while Bichsel had four stops in net.  On Saturday (March 25), the Gray Wolves dropped their WHAC opener 10-7 at seventh-ranked Aquinas.  Meomartino and Jake Busta each scored twice while Bichsel had nine saves between the posts.

Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines have dropped back-to-back games after falling 16-6 at Lawrence Tech on Saturday in the WHAC opener.  Mason Loudermilk leads Michigan-Dearborn with 10 goals and 35 total points.  Joseh Atherall has handed out a team-high six assists.  In goal, Jack Meyers sports a 7.32 goals against average and a .545 save percentage.

Scouting Aquinas: The Crusaders enter the week having won three straight after defeating Taylor 17-12 on Saturday.  Madonna visits Siena Heights on Wednesday before facing  Lourdes.  Nick Conrad has scored a team-high 21 goals this season for the Crusaders while Zachary Lane has handed out 21 assists and recorded a team-high 32 points.  In goal, Jeff Varner carries a 9.50 goals against average and a .637 save percentage.

Solid in Goal: Jack Bichsel has played all but eight minutes between the posts for the Gray Wolves this season, sporting a .30 goals against average and a .598 save percentage.  He has made 55 saves on 92 shots that he has faced.

On the Scoring Lists: Nick Johnson has passed Cory Campbell (2017-2021) for fourth all-time at Lourdes with 130 career points.  Johnson's 96 career goals also rank fourth most in program history while his 34 career assists rank him eighth.  

Picking Up Ground Balls: Jack Durham leads the Gray Wolves with 29 ground balls this season after picking up eight on Saturday against Aquinas.  Ryan Shaffer has 24 ground balls this season while Nick Johnson is the team's active career leader with 120, ranking seventh on the all-time list.

This and That: Lourdes is outscoring its opponents 28-14 in the opening half ... 11 different Gray Wolves have scored a goal this year after Xavier Dockery scored his first career goal against Thomas Moore ... Noah Loth has won 46-of-85 faceoffs.
