The Lourdes esports team its second straight Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference title in Overwatch on Saturday afternoon inside Cleary Commons in Howell, Mich.
After posting a 7-0 record in league play during the regular season, the top-seeded Gray Wolves swept eighth-seeded Concordia (Mich.) 3-0 in the quarterfinal round. Lourdes then registered its second 3-0 sweep of the day in the semifinals against fifth-seeded, and tournament host, Cleary.
The championship match was a best-of-seven format. While the Gray Wolves dropped their only two games of the day during the match, they defeated third-seeded Rochester (Mich.) 4-2 for the title, defending their crown from last season's inaugural championship.
