The 2023 Lourdes University Gubi Awards were held on Monday, May 1, inside the Franciscan Center, honoring the top athletes from each sport. The event also honored the athletic department Coaching Staff of the Year, the Male and Female Athletes of the Year, and the Male and Female Academic Award recipients.
Volleyball player
Eduardo Ayala was the Male Athlete of the Year. He was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was selected First Team All-WHAC for the second time in his career. In addition, he was named both a NAIA and AVCA Second Team All-American.
Stefana Jelacic from wrestling was honored as the Female Athlete of the Year. Jelacic earned All-American honors for the second time in her career. She finished seventh at the NAIA National Championships. In addition, she was the Mid-South Conference runner-up at 109 pounds, earning Second Team All-MSC honors.

Brady Perry were named the staff of the year after leading their team to a second consecutive NAIA National Championships appearance. The Gray Wolves finished the year 22-9, posting their third 20-win season in the last four years.
The Gray Wolf Academic Awards were chosen based upon the student-athlete being at least a junior in academic standing, having attended Lourdes for at least three semesters, being in good standing with their team, the athletic department, and the university, and holding the highest grade point average by gender.
