Upcoming in Gray Wolves Baseball: The penultimate week of the regular season has arrived for Lourdes baseball.  The Gray Wolves take a trip to Indiana Tech on Thursday afternoon before hosting Lawrence Tech in a four-game weekend series, concluding with Senior Day on Sunday afternoon in the home finale.

Head Coach Josh Bradford: In his fifth season in the Lourdes dugout, Josh Bradford has a 78-108 (.419) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves, as well as in his career as a collegiate head coach.  He is the third head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Probable Starters: Austin Nuhfer (LHP, 0-3, 6.75) will be handed the baseball in the opener on Thursday at Indiana Tech while the Gray Wolves are still undecided upon a game two starter.  Brenden Holland (LHP, 1-5, 7.36) and Caleb Loboschefski (RHP, 3-2, 2.95) are slated to start the two games on Saturday for the Gray Wolves against Lawrence Tech.  On Sunday, Wyatt Smith (RHP, 1-5, 9.00) will pitch for Lourdes to wrap up the series with the Blue Devils while the game two starter has yet to be determined.

Series Notes: Indiana Tech is 31-3 all-time against Lourdes in a series that dates back to April 27, 2012.  The Warriors swept the first twinbill the two teams played this season, wining 12-2 and 13-4 on April 3 at Mercy Field.  Indiana Tech is 13-0 against the Gray Wolves in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Lawrence Tech leads the all-time series against Lourdes 9-5 dating back to March 18, 2017.  The two schools split a twinbill in Utica, Mich. last season with the Gray Wolves taking the opener 8-6 in nine innings before the Blue Devils won game two 12-2.  Lawrence Tech holds a 7-5 series edge in games played at Mercy Field.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes swept a doubleheader on Saturday with a sweep of Siena Heights at Mercy Field.  The Gray Wolves took the opener 4-3 behind three hits each from Caleb Edwards-Dugan and Joel Suraganan while Brenden Holland struck out seven in 5.2 innings of work on the hill.  In game two, Caleb Loboschefski tossed a three-hit complete game shutout in a 10-0 win over the Saints.  A.J. Brinson had a three-hit contest in the nightcap.  On Sunday, Aquinas took the opening game of the doubleheader 14-6.  Christian Mays drove in three runs for the Gray Wolves while Suraganan had a two-hit game.  The Saints completed the doubleheader sweep with a 9-5 triumph in game two of the twinbill.  Suraganan had two hits and three RBI in the loss.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors are coming off a pair of one run losses at Concordia (Mich.) on Sunday, falling 8-7 and 11-10 in 10 innings.  Patrick McGinn leads Indiana Tech batting .473 this season while Tristan Osika is swinging the bat at a .429 clip.  Eli MacDonald, Brice Stultz, Parker Bates, and Jack Ferguson all have five home runs this season while MacDonald has driven in a team-leading 41 runs.  On the mound, Grant Besser is 4-3 with a 4.02 earned run average.  He has struck out 74 hitters in 53.2 innings of work.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Aquinas 13-6 and 12-2 on Monday afternoon.  Lawrence Tech visits Madonna for a twinbill on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Joel Stirnemann leads Lawrence Tech batting .439 on the season.  Jacob Llaneza is hitting .400 with a team-high nine home runs and 47 runs batted in. On the mound, Llaneza is 3-2 with a 4.07 ERA.  Dominic Puccetti has struck out 61 hitters in 34.2 innings of work.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor the 10 members of the 2024 senior class prior to Sunday's doubleheader against Lawrence Tech.  Bryn Biemiller, Brendan Cannon, Caelan Cunningham, Austin Ford, Deion Kurtz, Gavin McCool, Cord Noble, Devin Rooks, Wyatt Smith, and Nick Zito will be recognized for their contributions to the program over the last several seasons.

Looking for a WHAC Tournament Bid: With 10 games remaining in the regular season, Lourdes remains in the hunt for a berth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.  The Gray Wolves enter the week just three games in back of Cleary for the eighth and final qualifying spot.  Lourdes made its only previous WHAC tournament appearance in 2018.

Getting on Base: Gray Harmer enters the week having reached base safely in his all 11 games in which he has appeared this season while Joel Suraganan has a 10-game on base streak of his own heading into Wednesday's action.

Making the Most of Opportunities: Gray Harmer did not see his first action of the season until March 16, but has made the  most of his playing time since then.  The freshman is batting .361 with 13 hits and five runs batted in.

Leading the Pitching Staff: Caleb Loboschefski has paced the pitching staff over his seven appearances this season.  He is 3-2 with a 2.95 earned run average in 36.2 innings of work, making six starts.  The redshirt-sophomore is coming off a complete game three-hit shutout against Siena Heights and holds the team lead with 30 strikeouts this year.  Opponents are batting just .223 against Loboschefski this season.

This and That: Only Alex Dupree and Joel Suraganan have started all 30 games for Lourdes this season ... A.J. Brinson is the only other Gray Wolf to appear in all 34 games ... Joel Suraganan leads the team with four home runs and 19 runs batted in this season ... Lourdes has turned 19 double plays as a team defensively while hitting into just nine this year.
