Lourdes University's Nick DiGennaro (Oakville, Ont./St. Ignatius of Loyola H.S.) has been named the NAIA National Player of the Week following his effort in the Gray Wolves' four-game sweep against Michigan-Dearborn.
 
DiGennaro batted .667 (8-for-12) on the week with all eight hits going for extra bases.  He hit four home runs, giving him a team-leading nine on the season, while adding three doubles and a triple.  DiGennaro scored eight times while driving in 11 runs.
 
The senior outfielder drew five walks to post a .778 on base percentage over the four games, registering a 2.083 slugging percentage while also stealing three bases.
 
DiGennaro hit two home runs and had four RBI in the series opener, while going 3-for-3 with three runs batted in in game two.
 
DiGennaro is the first NAIA National Player of the Week in the history of the Lourdes baseball program.
 
The Gray Wolves head to Lima, Ohio on Wednesday, May 1, to face Northwestern Ohio in the first game of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament.
