HOWELL, Mich.  (LourdesAthletics.com) — The Lourdes University women's golf team placed tied for second out of six competing members at the Cleary Invite hosted by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference member, Cleary University Friday, Sept. 13. The team carded a 354 score to even with Siena Heights University. It marked the second consecutive golf outing in which the women's team has brought home a second-place finish. 

Playing at the Chemung Hills golf club, the women finished 21 shots behind the first place host Cougars (333), ultimately tying for second-place with Siena Heights, while the University of Michigan-Dearborn (381) took fourth with Mott Community College (439) rounding out the top-five.

Individually, Claire Recker led the Gray Wolves, once again, earning a second-place individual score of 78, just six shots above par and three over first-place finisher Skylar Whitman (75) from Siena Heights.  

Recker has led the Lourdes women's team in three consecutive tournaments, thus far. 

UP NEXT
The team will return to competition Wednesday, Sept. 18, as the Gray Wolves play host in the Annual Lourdes Invite held at the Sylvania Country Club golf course. Tee times will begin at 10am.
