OPELIKA, Ala. – Lourdes golf traveled east of Auburn, Alabama to compete in the Lawrence Tech Spring Break Invitational this week.
The men's A team finished in 8
th place out of 13 teams in the event, placing higher than conference opponent Siena Heights and regional foe Brescia. The Gray Wolves scored a 945 which was good for a +81 final. The men's B team finished in 13
th place in the tournament with a 1,079 final score that resulted in a +215 over par.
Individually leading the way for the men was
Charlie Robertson, who finished in 13
th place while shooting eight strokes over par. Second-best for Lourdes was
Edward Robertson, who finished in 28
th place with a +17 final. Rounding out the top three for the Gray Wolves men was
Brock Fussell, finishing in 45
th place with a +26 final.
The women placed in 7
th place out of eight teams with a final score of 1,805, shooting 229 strokes over par as a team. Like the men's squad, the women finished higher than conference rival Siena Heights.
Claire Recker led the women's Gray Wolves golfers with a +35 score of 251. The Findlay, Ohio native finished in 17
th place in the event.
Kenzie Richardson finished in 41
st place with a +107 final.
