OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) — The Lourdes University women's golf [A] team placed seventh out of 13 competing members at the Lourdes Invite hosted by the Gray Wolves Wednesday, Sept. 18. The team carded a 361, two shots behind sixth-place the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Playing at the Legacy Golf Course, the women finished 19 shots behind the first place Siena Heights University (342). Cleary University placed second with a 348 team score, while Aquinas University (350) rounded out the top-three.
Individually, Claire Recker led the Gray Wolves, once again, earning a sixth-place individual score of 84 on the 72-par course. Taking first-place was UNOH's, Sharifah Binyahya, who shot one above-par.
Recker has led the Lourdes women's team in four consecutive tournaments, thus far.
UP NEXT
The team will return to competition Sept. 29- Oct. 1, for the WHAC Preview hosted in Augusta, Mich., at the Stoatin Brae Golf Club.
