AUGUSTA, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) — The Lourdes University women's golf team finished the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Preview, hosted by Lawrence Tech University, in the top five among 13 competing members. Carding a team total 1,030 strokes on the elite Stonehedge Golf Course, the Gray Wolves brought home a fifth-place finish after three rounds of golf, throughout the three-day tournament.
Finishing in the top spot was the host Blue Devils with a 935 team total, while Cleary University (980), and Indiana Tech University (1,011) rounded out the top three. Placing one spot ahead of the Gray Wolves in fourth place was the Saints of Siena Heights University (1,025).
The team opened the tournament with their best round score coming in the first go-around, a team 338. The following two rounds saw the Gray Wolves accumulate a 346 round score in both for a team total of 1,030.
Individually, graduate student Emma Mulder led the Gray Wolves, earning a fifth-place finish with a total 237 strokes, just 21 shots over par. Mulder opened up the first round shooting a 76, before scoring an 80 in round two, and an 81 in round three.

The women's team will return to competition Monday, Oct. 14, as the Gray Wolves prepare for the second and final Lourdes invite of the fall season.
