JACKSON, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) — The Lourdes University women's golf team placed second of five competing members at the Cascades Clash hosted by Albion College Wednesday, Sept. 4, carding a 356 team score.
Playing at the Cascades Golf Club, the women finished one shot ahead of Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference member, Siena Heights University and two shots from Trine University's B-Team. Taking first place was Trine's A squad with a score of 318.
Individually, Claire Recker led the Gray Wolves with a strong performance, finishing sixth overall among 27 golfers, carding a 42 in the first nine and a 41 in the last for a total individual score of 73.
Recker has led the Lourdes women's team in two consecutive tournaments after scoring a 238 for ninth place at the Hidden Creek Invitational last weekend.
UP NEXT
The team will return to competition on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Cleary Invite, hosted by WHAC member, Cleary University. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be held at Chemung Hills Golf Club in Howell, Mich.
