SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- Lourdes University's competitive cheer team closed out the regular season in front of a home crowd on Saturday, hosting the final WHAC meet of the year while celebrating its six graduating seniors—Layla Kennedy, Madison Wallace, Latrrice Willson, Payton Williams, Morgan Leal, and Kendall Fitchpatric.
The Gray Wolves delivered a standout performance, earning a season-best score of 90.06 to finish second in the meet behind Concordia (90.60). This marks Lourdes' first score of 90 or higher since the 2016-17 season, when the Gray Wolves posted a 90.37 to win the WHAC Championship. Siena Heights (83.66) took third, followed by Madonna (75.36), Rochester Christian (73.77), and Aquinas (44.43).
With the runner-up finish, Lourdes secured second place in the WHAC regular-season standings with 14 points, trailing only Concordia (18). Siena Heights (13), Madonna (8), Rochester Christian (5), and Aquinas (4) rounded out the final conference standings.
