INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Lourdes bowling programs competed in the Hoosier classic in Indianapolis over the weekend, each scoring over 4,500 pins in their hard-fought tournaments.
The women's team finished a program record 27
th- place in the event, with a 4,546 total team score. Junior Dezaray Mcie had one of her best days on the lanes in her Lourdes career, leading the team in scoring with a 1,005 five-game series and three games scoring over a 200. Freshman
Veronica Flanagan also had a great performance with a 994 five-game series for the Gray Wolves.
The men's team finished 60
th out of 78 teams in the Hoosier Classic, scoring a team total of 4,631 pins. Underclassmen once again led the way for the men's team with freshman
Palmer Ziemer scoring a team-high 1,023 for his five-game set. Sophomore
Reece Kramer also bowled great, scoring a 926 and rolling a team-high 246 game four.
Kramer also won the 2026 Lee Johnson Memorial Eliminator Tournament on Friday night. The prestigious tournament is a singles event with select bowlers from the Hoosier Classic. Kramer beat out 199 other competitors for the incredible win.
The Gray Wolves are on a roll and will look to take that momentum into the WHAC Conference Championships this Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Royal Scot Lanes. Lourdes will also find out where they'll be headed for the NAIA National Tournament, this Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7pm.
