SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Lourdes bowling programs have accumulated 12 conference postseason awards across eight different bowlers, the WHAC announced on Monday morning.
Highlighting these postseason accolades was freshman
Veronica Flanagan. The rookie phenom won the WHAC Women's Bowler of the Year award, the WHAC Women's Newcomer of the Year award, and was selected to the WHAC All Conference First-Team.
Flanagan's exceptional season ended her with a 201.75 pin average, just 0.02 points higher than Bryanna Battle of Saint Francis.
Jaycie Arnet won the Champions of Character selection for the women's team. Arnet,
DeLayna Harvey,
Kaitlyn Comar and
Ryann Nickell all won All-Academic awards as well.
On the men's side, sophomore
Reece Kramer won the most awards with two. The Maumee, Ohio native was the selection for the Champions of Character team while also being selected as an All-Academic recipient. Rounding out the All-Academic team was
Dallas Allen and
Gbolahon Olatoye.
While the men's season has come to a close, the women's team qualified for the ITC Sectionals on March 13 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Gray Wolves will hope to make a run at nationals in their final season.
