LANSING, Mich. - The Lourdes women's bowling team finished in sixth-place in the WHAC Tournament on Saturday evening.
The Gray Wolves went 1-2 in the event and were taken out of the tournament in the second round of the elimination bracket.
Lourdes started off the tournament as the No. 6 seed, losing to the No. 3 seeded Aquinas Saints three games to two. The first round battle was tight in every game in the series.
Lourdes was sent to the elimination bracket where they cruised past No. 7 Cleary with +6, +20, and +17-point advantages over three games.
The Gray Wolves conference season came to a close in the next round against No. 8 Madonna. The Crusaders were able to win the final two games of the set after Lourdes was up two games to one.
Saint Francis (Ill.) won the tournament, upsetting top-ranked Indiana Tech in the championship.
Lourdes' conference season may be over, but their postseason is just beginning as they head to Pittsburgh for the ITC Sectionals on March 13.
