Box Score The Lourdes University women's volleyball team played hard on Wednesday night as they searched for their first WHAC conference victory against the Panthers of Davenport University. The Gray Wolves would lose the match up on the night three sets to one.

Lourdes would take the first set of the match 25-23. The Gray Wolves would be up early and lead 21-17 near the end before the Panthers made a comeback to draw things closer. Lourdes would finish with 12 kills in the set compared to just 10 by Davenport. Lourdes would finish the set with eight errors to the Panthers nine. Lourdes also would finish with 40 attempts to 37 from Davenport.

The second set was all Panthers as they dominated from the get go winning the set easily 25-13. Lourdes lost all the statistical categories as they were clearly out played in the set. The Panthers would finish with 10 kills on 27 total attempts. Lourdes would have 9 on 40 attempts. Lourdes would also commit eight errors to just two for Davenport.

The third set would be a replay of the second with the Panthers completely dominating the Gray Wolves as they easily won the set 25-12. The Panthers led in kills 11-7; Lourdes committed 7-2 in errors.

The fourth and final set showed tenacity and spirit for the Lourdes Gray Wolves as they battled throughout the entire set before succumbing 25-22. Lourdes

With the loss it leaves Lourdes with a 9-17 overall record and still searching for their first WHAC conference victory. Next up for the Gray Wolves is Lawrence Tech on Friday at 7pm in the Tam-O-Shanter.
